All Hosts — OS Updates
We will be installing updated packages from the OS provider on all physical and virtual hosts, including updates to the kernel (https://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2011-1386.html) and Java (https://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2011-1384.html). There will be downtime during the day for most services, but in most cases it should not be more than 15 minutes. In the case of the CEMon-BDII aggregator service, we will use the DNS round-robin to shift traffic away from the server undergoing maintenance, so no downtime is required, but there may be some degradation of service during this time.
