UPDATE: DOEGrids Certificate Service Problems

On Monday, April 2, 2012, users started experiencing problems renewing existing certificates and obtaining service certificates from DOEGrids CA. As of approximately 8pm EDT, April 3, 2012, this problem was corrected. Users are now able to renew certificates and obtain service certificates as expected using both the certificate scripts and the web interface.

Please inform us immediately if you have any problems.

GOC Service Update - Tuesday, April 10th at 13:00 UTC

The GOC will upgrade the following services beginning Tuesday, April 10th, 2012 at 13:00 UTC. The GOC reserves 8 hours (13:00 - 21:00 UTC) in the unlikely event that unexpected problems are encountered. We encourage users to test affected services before the production release.

Server Moves
Two servers previously hosting retired services will be removed from the production rack and moved to the ITB rack for re-purposing.

IP Changes

Some GOC servers have been moved to a new, larger IP range already, but the remaining ones will be moved. They will continue to respond to both old and new IP addresses until it is certain that the DNS is directing all traffic to the new addresses. This process should be transparent to end users.

Upgraded Google Map API from version 2 to version 3 [MYOSG-14]

OSG Repo (repo.grid.iu.edu)

ITB version is now available for testing at http://repo-itb.grid.iu.edu
Downgrading to EPEL version of mash in order to reduce the repo's dependency on custom software, since the patch is no longer necessary.

UPDATE: DOEGrids Certificate Service Problems

There are no problems with requesting new service and user certificates to the DOEgrids web interface.
The gridadmins who need new service certs: use the cert-request script to generate a new request. This works fine. Later the gridadmin or an RA Agent can log into the DOEGrids web interface and approve the request via the browser interface (https://pki1.doegrids.org:8100/).

For user certificates: request a new certificate for the end user. Fill out the form at https://software.grid.iu.edu/cert/certreg.php. Make sure to fill out the "Expired Certificate (Keeping your Old DN) (Optional) " field. You should put your existing DN in this field so that you can still get the same certificate. This will make sure VOMS registration and other registrations will work without a hitch.

We will continue to debug what is wrong with renewal interfaces.

DOEGrids Certificate Service Problems

At approximately 10pm EDT on Monday, April 2, 2012, users began experiencing problems obtaining new certificates and renewing existing ones from DOEGrids servers. This is affecting both the certificate scripts and the web interface.

The problem is currently ongoing and a ticket has been opened with ESNet. We will update the community with any information as it comes to us.
