DocDB Database Outage for Software Upgrade Tuesday, July 1; 7 a.m. - 9 a.m. CDT

Dear DocDB instance administrators,

WHAT ARE WE DOING?

WHEN WILL THIS OCCUR?
Tuesday, July 1; 7 a.m. - 9 a.m. CDT

WHAT IS THE IMPACT TO YOU?
All instances of DocDB managed by the Computing Sector-will have read-only access for up to 2 hours within the maintenance window. In addition, read access may be unavailable for up to 10 minutes within that time.
During the read-only period, if you attempt to make changes, you may get an error message or you may get a message saying you were successful. However, your change will not have been implemented.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
Please notify your end users of this work. Contact the Service Desk if you have any questions regarding this upgrade.

GOC Service Update - Tuesday, June 24th at 13:00 UTC

The GOC will upgrade the following services beginning Tuesday, June 24th, 2014 at 13:00 UTC. The GOC reserves 8 hours in the unlikely event that unexpected problems are encountered.

All Services

There will be OS updates; reboots will be required. Downtime should be minimal, and the usual high-availability mechanisms will be used to reduce service downtime even further and eliminate it in most cases. However, services may experience degraded performance, and the services without HA mechanisms (OIM and Twiki) will still experience brief downtimes.
